I've been slacking on the blog...I'll admit that I would rather be taking a walk outside this time of year...

I wanted to post all my Instagram pictures from the past couple weeks.  I'm still doing the #photoadaymay challenge, though I'm really stretching for some of the ideas.  However, I have some very exciting ideas for the next few days.  Most of which include a drink in hand and a beach in the background.

Nail Files

Trying out a new link up today because I am very into nail polish these days.  I pretty much NEVER have a naked nail anymore.  I love perusing the photos on Pinterest of new designs and pretty colors that are in style.  So this is what I have on my nails this week.

Shade: Pink Forever #713

Price:  $2

I love the price of this polish, obviously!  But I've also been pretty impressed with the quality of the stuff.  It seems to last about a week until it looks very chipped.  The quality of the paint is great, usually only takes two coats to get a completely non-streaky finish.  I always put a top coat on to make my manicure last as long as possible. For two dollars, I can buy as many colors as I want!

Cincinnati Marathon

 Yesterday, my Dad made me so proud! He ran 26.2 miles with about 4,000 other people in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This is only the second marathon I have seen him in, but he has done about 15 all together.    We went down there on Saturday for registration at the Expo.  We then loaded up on carbs (for Dad's sake, of course) and then spent the night at a hotel downtown.  We got up early Sunday morning to see him run by in front of the hotel, grabbed some breakfast, and walked down to the US Bank Arena to see him at the finish line.  He rocked it!  Here are some pictures that captured the weekend.

The Spanish part of me is in love with this holiday.  It brings back good memories from high school Spanish class of fun games, foods, and NO HOMEWORK!

As an adult, not much is celebrated other than a margarita at El Torro, so I just wanted to share my favorite pins in honor of Mejico.
