iPad 2

Happy Saturday to you! Ahh, my favorite part of the week is Saturday morning. I can get up whenever I want (which usually ends up being early because I get so excited about the day) and enjoy a cup of coffee while I catch up on blogging and cleaning the house before Matt even gets up.

yesterday, a coworker showed up to work with his brand new APPLE IPAD 2. i was thrilled to see it in real life because i have been debating on what kind of computer i want to replace my 5 year old lappy that has seen its better days.

i think i have concluded that getting a tablet is all i really need in a computer. given that i can just use wireless at home and not have to buy a 3g plan, i would love to have this beauty as my own personal "laptop".

Things I need in a computer:
1. Skype with video calls
2. Internet browser for blogging, Facebooking, Ebay, browsing, etc.
3. ABC Player to watch my shows
4. Netflix to watch other movies
5. Memory to hold pictures and music

And that's it! I am a computer simpleton, but I am getting tired of having to be stationed at the office computer, especially when Matt has "real" work to do. It is time for an upgrade. And I think the iPad is going to trump all other tablets coming out, although I have toyed with the idea of the Motorola Xoom...

It seems like the biggest competitor, but I just don't know if it will outlast anything made by apple. I'm really not a mac girl. (aka i know nothing about them really) But I will learn. Ok, I'm off to sell a kidney so I can afford one of these babies!!

A Grill and a Mower

Last weekend just about busted the bank account...but it was well worth it.

We are (almost) ready for summer now that we have some of the essentials. A grill and a lawnmower.

The last big item we need to purchase is a patio set for the sun room. Then...maybe we will think about planting some flowers and sprucing up the yard a bit.

I am so ready for summer. (The 80 degree weather we had on Sunday reminded me how wonderful it will be to spend time outside again without wearing a coat!)

So without further adieu, I present to you my SUMMER FUN list of what I am looking forward to the most.

1. Krista's wedding (August 27)
2. More weddings in June and September. Amanda Jones (bestie from childhood) and Amanda Gabbard (college roomie)
3. Cedar Point
4. King's Island
5. Long walks at night
6. Ice cream treats
7. Cruise vacation in June
8. Surprise Anniversary trip in June. (Clues so far? We are driving. That's all I know!)
9. Seasonal fresh fruits and yummy lemonade
10. Long days of sunshine that last til 10 pm

Should be a memorable and exciting summer.
